Day 1: Early Kigali city tour & Drive to Bwindi through Chanika/Katuna

Breakfast & Kigali city tour in Rwanda. Have a heavy breakfast and proceed with the Kigali city tour experience, Rwanda. Visit the Kigali/Gisozi genocide memorial, Kimironko market, Inema Arts Center, and other places, time permitting. Later, embark on your road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, exiting through the Uganda-Rwanda border (Katuna/Chanika).

After clearing with the border authorities, drive up to Bwindi while enjoying the stunning landscapes in the Kigezi region. Early arrival at your respective accommodation to dine and relax.

Day 2: The Bwindi Forest Gorilla trekking & Depart for Kigali

Embark on a gorilla trekking adventure starting from the respective trailhead (preferably Buhoma) in the Northern side of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A search for Bwindi’s gentle giants begins at around 8:00 am and is expected to take about 2-6 hours. Visitor interaction with gorillas is restricted to only 1 hour, which includes observing their daily behaviors, body gestures, and taking pictures.

Expect to return to the park offices to meet the official who will offer you a certificate. After receiving your certificate, you will continue to lodge to officially check out and proceed back to Kigali.
